Professor of Practice in Business Law
Biography
Emily Nadeau serves as both Professor of Practice in Business Law and Assistant General Counsel at Stonehill College, bringing together legal acumen and a passion for business education. Since joining the faculty in 2023 as an adjunct professor, she has fostered an engaging, participatory classroom where students connect legal concepts to real-world business challenges.
As Assistant General Counsel, Nadeau supports the Office of the General Counsel in managing a wide range of legal matters essential to higher education, including contract review, employment law, administrative law, disability law and policy development. She represents the College before external agencies, advises on compliance with federal and state regulations, and shares best practices with faculty and staff.
Her career foundation includes prior work in disability rights advocacy, family law, employment law, and intellectual property. Nadeau earned her J.D. summa cum laude from Pace University School of Law, receiving multiple scholarships recognizing her commitment to disability law and trusts and estates.
A member of both the Massachusetts and New Jersey Bar Associations, Nadeau blends her legal expertise with a student-centered approach, inspiring future business leaders to think critically about the legal frameworks that shape their fields.
