Biography
Assistant Professor of Graduate Business Administration Mark Wm Cawman has over 25 years of experience in the automotive and aerospace manufacturing industries. He has a passion for educating and mentoring successful business leaders. As an academic, he leverages real experience and industry partnerships to balance theory with practical application. He is a professor and researcher in strategic management, international business, management and organizational performance. He stays relevant through research, consulting and industry collaboration.
In business, he was known for developing systems and mentoring talent. He combined academic research with best practices and strategies for outstanding performance. He is a dynamic leader with experience in building agile strategies, including product and market growth, optimized operational excellence, effective business and quality systems, globalization and international expansions, supplier development, and dynamic EBITDA generation.
His background includes strategy and systems management with proven performance and results. He is skilled in strategic planning, supplier quality, lean manufacturing and facilitating operational excellence. He has supported international greenfield endeavors, work transfers, and overseen a global team supporting the supply chain and multiple sites.
Cawman holds multiple industry certificates including the ASQ - CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence).
He served as an adjunct professor for several years, but in 2020, he transitioned to full-time academia and was most recently an Associate Professor and Department Chair at Azusa Pacific University.
