Biography
Associate Professor of Management John Dobson’s research and teaching focus on the power of entrepreneurship in helping nascent entrepreneurs start successful businesses so that they can build a better future for themselves and their families.
Dobson is the founder of the DYME Institute, which provides world-class entrepreneurship education to marginalized communities. He has worked with over 40 universities and entrepreneurship centers around the world to help develop their entrepreneurship programming. He works with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections to help prepare reentry populations to start successful businesses upon their release. He conducts entrepreneurship workshops for recent immigrants in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Haitian Creole.
