Moderated by Assistant Professor of Political Science Anwar Mhajne, this panel discussion will focus on the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Stonehill College students, Alexandra Trantos and Jonathan Cook will frame the theme by offering a scholarly context on terrorism as a form of political violence, and the basic contours of the humanitarian law, with a focus on the Geneva Convention.

Dr. Michal Ben-Josef Hirsch of Suffolk University will also join the discussion to share her thoughts on the humanitarian dimensions of the crisis in Gaza. She will analyze the crisis by placing it in the backdrop of the history and current status of humanitarianism in world politics. Some of the issues she will address entail the legal and political toolkit of humanitarian law while exploring their limits in the context of the crisis in Gaza.

This program is being offered as part of the "All Things Political" series.
