Skyhawk Scavenger Hunt
Take part in Stonehill's largest scavenger hunt, all from the comfort of your home! Engage in different missions throughout April, and the top 3 people with the highest scores win!
Welcome to Stonehill’s largest scavenger hunt! Sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement and the Student Government Association, we have created a game where you can play from home until the last day of classes! Every Stonehill student, staff, and faculty member is eligible to play.
Throughout the course of April at various times throughout the week, missions will be released through the GooseChase app—you must have the app to play. Participants can play the tasks (i.e., missions) in any order after they are released and have until the end of the game to accomplish each mission. And if you don’t feel like playing, you can follow along on the feed in the app to see the progress of everyone playing!
How do I play?
When the game is launched, an email will go out to the campus community with instructions to download the GooseChase app, create a profile, and start playing with the Game Code for the Skyhawk Scavenger hunt!
Various missions will be released every couple of days. An alert will go off in the app once new missions are added, so make sure you have notifications enabled. Each mission is worth a certain amount of points. You can choose to do all the missions or only some of them. The Student Engagement team will be checking all submitted missions to ensure they are accurately accomplished. If a mission did not meet the required parameters, points may be adjusted or deleted. While we love creativity, we must be able to understand the connection.
Missions will be available to accomplish until 11 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29th. Winners will be notified via email by Monday, May 4th. People can also head on over to @stonehillactivities on Instagram to see the winners. In the case of a tie, a winner will be randomly selected. If there are two first place winners, for example, the winner not chosen, will be awarded second place.
The top three people with the most points—after all adjustments—will be awarded the following prizes, generously provided by SGA:
• First place: $150 Amazon.com gift certificate
• Second place $100 Amazon.com gift certificate
• Third place: $50 Amazon.com gift certificate
