Community Engagement Day

During Fall Orientation, first-year students participate in on-campus activities meant to increase awareness of social justice issues at the root of service through a poverty simulation activity. They also come to understand what volunteering looks like, feels like and how it transforms by engaging in an indirect service project. Finally, they learn about the ways they can volunteer and get involved in the community by meeting several community partners.
