About the Program

In the aftermath of COVID, people began to rethink their relationships with work, and unions have capitalized on this with a resurgence in public support in polls. However, such support has failed to translate into equal union growth. This presentation by Assistant Professor of Psychology Kevin Carriere explores the psychology of why people back unions in theory but hesitate in practice, illustrating how identity, ideology, and everyday narratives about work shape our willingness to stand together.

This event is sponsored by the MacPháidín Library. Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the Office of Academic Affairs.
