2025 Scholar Series: Rev. Fred Jenga, C.S.C.
Fr. Jenga is a priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross, a Visiting Scholar at Stonehill College and the President of Holy Cross Family Ministries.
About the Program
This lecture will focus on the persuasion strategies employed by the Kanungu cult of Uganda (1989 to 2000), which led to the death of over 1,000 people. In particular, it will provide an understanding of the nature and mechanisms of their communication so as to safeguard contemporary communities from similarly dangerous and manipulative religious rhetoric.
