In his upcoming book, Writing in the Sand, Professor of Anthropology & Sociology Stanley Thangaraj, the James E. Hayden Chair for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, & Social Justice at Stonehill College, examines the gardening practices of Kurds in the United States to showcase the ways that Kurdish places are made through intimate connections with the land, flora and fauna.
