Jane F. Cartier


Jane Cartier holds an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology and Counseling Education from Boston College and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Communication Arts and Sciences from Bridgewater State College.

After a 22 year career as a high school/middle school guidance counselor and drama coach in East Bridgewater Public Schools, St. Gregory HS in Dorchester, and St. Mary HS in Brookline, Jane altered her career path and became the Children’s Librarian in the West Bridgewater Public Library. She then came to Stonehill College MacPhaidin Library to work in the Cataloging Department, now part of the Technical Services Department. Jane also worked in the Library Archives.

During the past few years, Jane has revived her theater ‘career’ and has trod the boards with Nemasket River Productions in Middleboro, Theatre One Productions in Middleboro, the Milton Players in Canton, Plymouth Community Theatre, Bay Players of Duxbury, Community Players of Pawtucket, Shovel Town Ten Minute Play Fest in Easton, and One Strong Voice Productions. She also enjoys maintaining the Facebook page for Stonehill College’s MacPhaidin Library and is a member of the Library’s Web and Social Media committee.
