Bonnel A. Klentz

Professor Klentz is currently engaged in research examining jury decision making and group metacognition or the extent group members can accurately assess the group's competence. Her lab includes a jury deliberation observation room allowing the audio and video recording of twelve-person juries. Her past research interests have included examining methods of increasing bystander response in emergencies, examining assumptions made about others based on their attitude similarity/dissimilarity, the application of self-awareness theory to reduce "negative" behaviors, and examining the impact of working with a free rider depending on the reason for free riding.
