At Stonehill, we endeavor to foster a culture that inspires students to maximize their potential so that they, in turn, can help others maximize theirs.

It’s a reflection of our commitment to “strong minds, stronger hearts” and we know from experience that such the seeds of compassion are sown through service experiences both locally and around the world.

The world is calling for compassionate leaders. We make sure you’re ready to respond.

When Sara Boukdad '15 was at Stonehill her mind was on science, but her heart was in The Farm at Stonehill, which grows produce for those who could not otherwise access or pay for it. Her work there, and with Students for Environmental Action, inspired her to dedicate herself to making life better for others.

  • H.O.P.E. Service Immersion Program

H.O.P.E. seeks to engage members of the Stonehill community in cross-cultural service experiences. H.O.P.E. further endeavors to challenge the Stonehill community to grow in love of God and neighbor by embodying the Church's commitment to a preferential option for and with the poor.

  • Community Engagement Program

The Community Engagement Program provides opportunities for students to learn from, foster relationships with, journey alongside, and advocate for members of our local community.

  • Compassionate Leadership Through the Arts

The Arts Outreach program pairs under-served children from the nearby city of Brockton with Stonehill mentors. Stonehill students participate in projects ranging from photography and videography to painting and sometimes dance – provide an opportunity for the mentors and mentees to learn and do something new together.
