The John E. Drew Stonehill College Commitment honors Cathedral High School’s dedication to providing a strong, college preparatory education to students within the greater Boston area.

That's why all Cathedral High School graduates who are admitted to Stonehill will automatically receive a minimum of a $20,000 (up to $35,000) merit scholarship as part of their financial aid package. This award is eligible for renewal sophomore, junior and senior year. In addition, the John E. Drew Stonehill College Commitment aims to meet the full demonstrated financial need of each Cathedral High School graduate who is admitted to the College — using scholarship, grants, loans and part-time employment.**

John E. Drew ’65, an accomplished real estate developer and trusted adviser to national and global organizations that include the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Consulate of Monaco, has long been a valued supporter of both Cathedral and Stonehill. All scholarships and grants awarded by Stonehill through this commitment will be named in honor of Drew’s decades of service.

This financial commitment is offered in recognition of the sacrifices families have made to provide their children a local faith-based education, the confidence we have in the preparation provided by Cathedral High School and the great potential of its graduates.

In a natural continuation of your Cathedral High School education, Stonehill builds on the rigorous academic standards students have already experienced to help them further develop what our Congregation founders call the competence to see and the courage to act. Our mission is to educate the whole person so that each graduate thinks, acts and leads with courage to create a more just and compassionate world.

* Division I recruited student athletes may not be eligible for this merit commitment due to the potential awarding of sports-related aid.

** Demonstrated financial need is determined by the College using the information provided through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be eligible, all students must submit the FAFSA application and be eligible to receive Title IV funding from the federal government.
