Boston College and Stonehill College have arranged for the preferred admission of qualified Stonehill students to the Master of Science in Leadership & Administration at Boston College. The agreement provides a benefit for Stonehill students interested in becoming grounded, confident leaders. This degree is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to lead in a variety of professions.

Benefits

  • Application fee waived GRE requirement waived
  • Preferred admission without the competition of the rest of the applicant pool
  • Option to delay enrolling in the MSLA program for up to three years if accepted in the senior year
  • Two (2) courses [up to six (6) credits] from the list below of “Accepted Stonehill College Transfer Eligible Courses” with a grade of ‘B’ or higher will transfer into the MSLA program at Boston College as two graduate courses [up to six (6) graduate credits]. The MSLA Graduate Program Director will determine for which two MSLA courses the qualified student will receive transfer credit.

    • BUS 312 – Intermediate Accounting II
    • BUS 333 – Organizational Behavior
    • BUS 335 – Human Resource Management
    • BUS 340 – Marketing Principles
    • BUS 460 – Topics in Management
    *In addition, alternative and applicable 300- to 499-level courses in the BUS, HCA, COM, and POL prefixes can be submitted to determine whether they might qualify toward the two-course transfer. In addition, this process is to be coordinated with the Director of the MSLA program to assist in targeting the application of these credits to particular specialization or core requirements.
  • The option to complete the remaining eight required MSLA courses in one calendar year.

Qualifications

  • Anticipated successful completion of bachelor’s degree from Stonehill in May of the senior year 
  • A minimum overall GPA of 3.30 at Stonehill 
  • Submission of all MSLA application materials by the published Boston College deadline for entry into the term beginning the next fall.
