If a complaint involves the President, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, or Vice President & General Counsel, the report is directed to the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees.
The College will take appropriate steps to review complaints and determine whether further investigation or action is necessary.
Confidentiality and Anonymity
Stonehill College seeks to protect the confidentiality and anonymity of employees who report concerns.
When an employee requests confidentiality or anonymity, the College will protect it to the fullest extent possible while balancing that request with the need to conduct an adequate review of the complaint.
Complaints and related records are treated as confidential information. Access is limited to individuals who have a legitimate need to review or investigate a complaint, including designated College officials, members of the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees, and outside legal counsel and auditors.
Complaints, investigations, reports, and resulting actions will not be disclosed publicly unless disclosure is required by law.
No Retaliation
Stonehill College will not retaliate against an employee who submits a complaint in good faith.
Employees should feel comfortable raising concerns when they believe something may be inconsistent with College policies, business practices, accounting practices, or ethical standards.
Who Can Submit a Complaint?
Employees are encouraged to report concerns through the channels described above.
Vendors, customers, business partners, and other individuals or organizations outside the College may also submit complaints.
