Sacraments at Stonehill

Sacraments of Initiation:

The Office of Campus Ministry provides a faith formation program for current students interested in receiving sacraments of baptism, first communion, confirmation, or professing their faith in the Catholic Church.

Students interested in receiving these sacraments should contact Fr. Aaron Morris, C.S.C, Campus Minister for faith formation. 

Sacrament of Matrimony

Stonehill alumni are able to receive the sacrament of matrimony at the Chapel of Mary or the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Donahue Hall. Those interested in holding their wedding Mass on campus should contact Fr. Tim Mouton, C.S.C., Director of Campus Ministry. 

Common Questions About Sacraments

• Do you offer the sacrament of baptism for children of alumni or staff of the college?
  • We do not offer baptisms outside of our OCIA program for students. We encourage those seeking baptism for themselves or their children to contact their local parish. 
• I have been baptized but not confirmed. Can I receive my confirmation at Stonehill?
  • We recommend those who are not current Stonehill students to contact your local parish or faith community to receive confirmation. Current students can contact the Campus Minister for Faith Formation to learn more. 
• I am not Catholic but would like to become Catholic. Can I do this at Stonehill?
  • We recommend those who are not current Stonehill students to contact your local parish or faith community to receive Catholic initiation. Current students can contact the Campus Minister for Faith Formation to learn more. 
• I am searching for a Catholic worship community. Is Stonehill the place for me?
  • While we welcome everyone to worship with us, we recommend that alumni, community members, and non-students find your parish worship community, as we cannot support your spiritual needs in the same way that they can.
