Stonehill’s Navigation Center to Offer Upgraded Fall Career Fair
This year’s event has been re-envisioned to provide students with broader access to employers, graduate programs, alumni experts and more.
Get ready for Stonehill College’s new and improved Fall Career Fair!
Reflecting the entire community’s commitment to connecting students with the most promising career placements possible, the Navigation Center for Student Success has made some strategic enhancements to this year’s program, set to take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Ames Sports Complex.
Previously structured as a smaller event featuring approximately three dozen organizations, the Fall Career Fair is expanding to become the largest career exploration event offered by the College. Around 70 organizations spanning education, government, health and human services, finance and insurance, technology and more are expected to have a presence. Boston Children’s Hospital, Enterprise Mobility, W.B. Mason, the Museum of Fine Arts and House of Possibilities are just a few of the notable organizations that will be in attendance.
“We want students to begin discovering potential career paths as soon and as often as possible,” Director of Career Development Andrew Leahy ’05 said. “Hosting a large-scale event like this at the top of the academic year will help them cultivate those good habits.”

Greater Presence of Graduate Programs
As part of its bolstered line-up, the event will feature an increased focus on graduate programs.
“Thus far, representatives from 15 graduate programs are registered to attend the Fall Career Fair, including those within Stonehill Graduate & Professional Studies,” Leahy said. “We are grateful for their participation, as graduate school is a meaningful pathway for students to hone specialized skills, foster connections and explore their passions.”
Alongside Stonehill Graduate & Professional Studies, graduate programs from the following schools will be highlighted at the Fall Career Fair:
- Assumption University
- Bentley University
- Boston College, Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences
- Boston University School of Hospitality Administration
- Bryant University
- Johnson & Wales University
- Loyola University of Maryland
- Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
- New England College of Optometry
- Northeastern University, Bouve School of Health Sciences
- Regis College
- UMass Amherst College of Information and Computer Sciences
- UMass Dartmouth
- William James College
Expertise Offered by Some of Stonehill’s Finest
Another special feature of this year’s fair is an Alumni Experts section. Several Stonehill graduates representing various industries and job titles will be on hand to speak with students about their career journeys.
“We’ve offered the Alumni Experts section at previous events, and it has been well-received by students,” Leahy explained. “We’re so grateful to our alumni partners for returning to campus and paying their Stonehill experience forward to current students.”
Meaningful Dialogue Between Current and Future Leaders
To support students as they meet with a wide array of professionals, the College’s Career Development team has taken steps to build customized conversation starters into the fair.
When registering for the event, students complete a survey in which they are asked to choose up to two descriptors that they want displayed on the name tag they will wear at the Career Fair. Examples range from identifiers like “Critical Thinker” and “Problem Solver,” to Stonehill-specific labels like “Lead with Heart” and “Moreau Honors Program.”
“Highlighting these personal attributes gives an organization a conversation starter beyond the resume,” Leahy noted. “They offer something personal and fun that the student is happy to discuss.”
Employers participating in the Fall Career Fair have also been asked to complete a survey in which they indicate whether they are hiring for jobs, seeking interns or looking for service volunteers. The survey also prompts them to note which of the qualities they seek in candidates based on the NACE Career Competencies.
“Our hope is to establish a common language through the NACE competencies and help students envision themselves at an organization as they wander the space,” Leahy said. “Hopefully, this will make them feel more comfortable approaching an organization with which they aren’t yet familiar.”
Promoting Deep Engagement with Campus Partners
The refined Fall Career Fair will set the stage for changes to the College’s upcoming Spring Career Fair. In 2027, this program will transition to a curated program primarily focused on internships and full-time jobs. It will feature several employers with longstanding relationships to the College.
“We’re excited to find new ways to continue promoting deeper engagement between our students and partner organizations,” Leahy said. “Amid today’s ever-shifting marketplace, it’s paramount that Skyhawks be given opportunities to consider all the paths that are available to them.”
