Stonehill College’s DECA chapter recently participated in the International Career Development Conference (ICDC), held in Orlando, Florida, from April 22 to 25, 2023. Seventeen students from the Leo J. Meehan School of Business competed against over 100 schools in events designed to prepare them to become leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, accounting, finance, hospitality and management. Six students placed in the Top 10 of their categories of Business Ethics, Marketing Communications and Sports & Entertainment Marketing. 

“Congratulations to all the members of Stonehill’s chapter. I am so proud of my students, all of whom have worked so hard throughout this academic year to prepare for the ICDC. I know they will all go on to become phenomenal leaders in business. I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for them,” said Dr. Michael Salé, assistant professor of management information systems and Stonehill DECA faculty advisor. 

The following students placed in the Top 10 internationally during their respective team events:

  • Sports & Entertainment Marketing – Michael Keiran Leary ’23 & Justin Saslaw ’25
