This fall, the Skyhawk spirit is taking on some new flavors. In partnership with Shovel Town Brewery, Stonehill College has launched a line of limited-edition beers inspired by the institution’s athletic teams and highlighting Built to Rise, the fundraising initiative investing in champions on and off the field.

“From afternoon tailgates at W.B. Mason Stadium to nights hanging out with your old college buddies, our Built to Rise beers are the perfect way to bring Stonehill fans together to celebrate the College’s enduring tradition of athletic excellence,” said Director of Athletics Dean O’Keefe ’94.

The Built to Rise collection includes four delicious brews:

  • Buzzer Beater IPA: Crafted with only Citra hops, this IPA is light on the palate, with a clean citrus finish.
  • Grand Slam Pumpkin Ale: This beverage has a crisp malt flavor with a slightly sweet pumpkin finish.
  • Hat Trick Stout: This rich, bold stout is bursting with the aroma of peanut and sweet coffee.
  • Hall of Fame Lager: This light and refreshing drink is brewed with 100% continental malts and shines with the addition of Polish Marynka hops.

Here’s how Stonehill fans can purchase four-packs featuring each of these unique beverages:

  • Pre-Order Online: Place your order here prior to the Family Weekend football game vs. Duquesne University (taking place Saturday, October 17, at 12 p.m.) and the Homecoming Weekend game against Central Connecticut State University (taking place Saturday, November 7, at 1 p.m.). Orders can be picked up on game day from 10 a.m. to noon at the Shovel Town pop-up tent, near the food trucks in the Chapel of Mary parking lot. After 12 p.m., orders can be picked up at the Shovel Town beer garden near the north end zone.
  • Purchase on Game Day: Buy a draft beer during the game (cans are only available via pre-order and cannot be sold on site).
  • Buy at Shovel Town Brewery: Beginning Wednesday, September 30, pick up a four-pack of Built to Rise beer directly at the taproom, located at 50 Oliver Street, North Easton, Massachusetts 02356.

A portion of the proceeds from each four-pack sold will support Built to Rise. The $50 million campaign was launched in May 2026 to elevate the College’s athletic offerings and infrastructure. Built to Rise will redefine the Stonehill experience through the development of new state-of-the-art athletic facilities, including the Tom & Kathleen Bogan Arena and a new Athletic Fields Complex. To date, the fundraising initiative has secured more than $22 million in commitments.

The Built to Rise beer collection marks the College’s third collaboration with Shovel Town Brewery. The first was the Stonehill 75 beer, launched in 2023 to commemorate the College’s 75th anniversary. The second was Hillhaus, an Oktoberfest Märzen that was available during Family Weekend and Homecoming in 2025.

“Like Stonehill, Shovel Town Brewery prioritizes rooting ourselves in the community and maintaining close local relationships,” said William Hope, operations manager for the brewery. “We are thrilled by the opportunity to work with the College on private label beers that support their causes, as well as continuing to provide our product at tastings, sporting events and fundraisers.”

Stonehill College and Shovel Town Brewery encourage all members of Skyhawk Nation to drink responsibly.
