Biography

Professor McNamara has over 30 years experience in the field of Education. Her background includes classroom teaching and supervisory responsibilities at the early childhood, elementary and secondary level in both general education and special education settings. As the Director of Licensure, Placements, and Supervision at Stonehill, Professor McNamara oversees the placement of pre-practicum and practicum students and insures program compliance with Massachusetts Department of Education requirements.

Recent Professional Activities: Area public and private schools: Providing workshop training for educators and para-educators in special education related topics: curriculum modifications and accommodations, reading and language development with struggling learners.
