Biography

Scott Ferson is an adjunct professor with Stonehill College’s Department of Political Science & International Studies. He has watched and worked in politics for 40 years. His experience began in high school on the John Anderson for President campaign. He later served as press secretary to the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, chief strategist for the insurgent congressional campaign of Seth Moulton (D-MA), and advisor to dozens of candidates for office at the local and state level.

He is the president and CEO of the Liberty Square Group, a strategic communications, government relations and public affairs firm. He also runs the Blue Lab, a political incubator that trains young people in how to run campaigns. 

Ferson is the author of How the Democrats Lost America: Making Sense of the 2024 Election and the Future of American Politics (Turner Publishing, 2026).
