Heather Heerman was named Chief of Staff in the Office of the President in 2015. She is the first person in the history of Stonehill College to hold this title. She advises President John Denning, C.S.C., and ensures key strategic priorities are achieved by collaborating closely with senior leadership, the Board of Trustees and the College community.

Heerman’s ties to Stonehill run deep. She has worked at the College for two decades and is committed to the institution’s educational mission of cultivating hearts and minds. She began her career at the College in 2001 as Internship Coordinator for the Office of Career Services (now called the Career Development Center). In 2003, she was elevated to the role of Assistant Director of Career Services. She was named Director of Career Services in 2005. She served in that role for 10 years and enjoyed working with students and alumni to achieve their post-graduate goals.

Prior to working in higher education, Heerman taught English to seventh graders at Silver Lake Regional School District in Kingston, Massachusetts, from 1996 to 2001.

A proud Stonehill alumna, Heerman received a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in secondary education. She later earned a master’s degree in education from Bridgewater State University.
