Biography
Director of the Office of Research, Grants & Sponsored Projects Bonnie L. Troupe supports faculty across all disciplines in securing and managing external funding for research, academic programs and community-engaged initiatives. She partners closely with faculty and staff throughout the full grant lifecycle—from identifying funding opportunities and developing proposals to award negotiation, compliance and post-award management.
Troupe plays a central role in advancing Stonehill College’s externally funded work by assisting with proposal preparation and submission, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations, and coordinating closely with the Finance and Operations Division on budgeting and fiscal oversight. She also collaborates with the Office of Corporate, Foundation & Donor Relations to align foundation and private funding opportunities with the priorities of the Academic Affairs Division.
Troupe was instrumental in establishing Stonehill’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and serves as the IRB Administrator. In this role, she coordinates overall IRB operations, supports the IRB Chair and provides education and outreach to faculty and students on human subjects research. She is an active member of the Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Review Committee and the College’s Professional Development Committee. She is also the Fulbright Scholar Liaison for faculty and staff.
She has also served as a grant proposal reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, the Massachusetts Service Alliance and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education.
Before joining Stonehill, Troupe held several roles in education, including teaching English to English Language Learners in Tokyo, Japan.
