Since first coming to Stonehill College in the Fall of 2001, Jim has participated in 18 STC productions, both onstage and behind the scenes. As a student actor he performed in six main-stage productions, receiving an Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship nomination through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. As a co-director he traveled with two productions to KCACTF Region 1, where both productions were held for consideration at the national festival in Washington D.C. As the STC technical director he has overseen the construction of productions for both main-stage and student directed work.
He began his teaching career at Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA, in the Fall of 2007. As head of the Technical Theater Dept. he designed and aided in the construction of 12 productions, 4 of which were new works. As a professor he taught classes in Scenic, Lighting, and Sound design, as well as Script Analysis.
Outside of school Jim is a regular member of the F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Co., based in Watertown, MA. He is also an assistant vice chair for the DTM deptartment and a show respondent for the KCACTF Region 1.
