Anne T. Carrigg ’57, who died in August, majored in history at the College and went on to teach the subject at Stonehill for more than 40 years. After graduating, Carrigg, who was also known as Nancy, earned three degrees from Boston College, a master’s in teaching and another in history followed by a doctor of philosophy degree in history. Upon returning to the College in 1965, Carrigg devoted herself to teaching, advising and engaging her students in small group discussions. With other faculty members, she also collaborated in advocating for greater academic innovation at Stonehill.
