At an awards celebration on Saturday evening, six alumni were honored for their leadership, mentorship, expertise and commitment to service. 

Making up for lost time due to Covid, the Stonehill Alumni Council presented the Francis X. Dillon ’70 Alumni Service Award for 2019 to Bernadette (Crowley) ’65 and Edward ’64 Paré and for 2020 to Christine Ferretti ’92. The Graduate of the Last Decade Award for 2019 was presented to Pamela Bardhi ’13 and for 2021 to Lauren (Bombardier) Weeks ’13. Dr. Elizabeth Canuel ’81 received the Outstanding Alumnus Award for 2020. 

"Through your leadership, expertise, mentorship, and advocacy, you are living lives of purpose that reflect a commitment to service and to positively impacting the world around you," said Doug Smith, vice president for advancement, after presenting the awards. "You do this with great spirit, drive, integrity and ability."

    As with many of our alumni events, members from the Student Alumni Association (SAA) helped out at the awards reception. From left, Rahni Bussiere ’25, Keiran Leary ’25, Isabella Caldarone ’24 and Madison Shorey ’26, who is also an intern in the advancement division. 

Additional awards will be given at an alumni awards celebration in the fall. 

Award Categories

The Francis X. Dillon ’70 Alumni Service Award is presented annually to one or more alums who have worked for the betterment of Stonehill College and the Alumni Association.

The Graduate of the Last Decade Award is presented annually by the Stonehill College Alumni Council to an alumnus/a within ten years of graduation in recognition of notable accomplishment that reflects positively on Stonehill College.

Each year, the Stonehill College Alumni Council bestows the Outstanding Alumnus Award to a graduate who has achieved particularly distinguished professional success that, in turn, has brought honor to the College.
