Born with cystic fibrosis, you learned from your loving, wise parents how to live life to the fullest and not let the challenges of chronic illness restrict you. Taking that foundational lesson to heart, you expanded and put your own stamp upon it.

Appreciating the benefits of exercise to your health, you became an avid runner, golfer and skier. You have pursued a demanding career in human resources, and with Elysian HR, you are assisting companies in the biotech, biopharma and medical device industry.

In addition to all this, you are an advocate for others with chronic illness. Your book Growing Up Sick is specifically designed to help patients and their families as is your blog, The So What Life. As a motivational—indeed, inspirational—speaker, you have advised parents on how to give kids with chronic illness a positive quality of life.

You are a beacon of light and hope to families impacted by chronic illness. In appreciation of your accomplishments and how they reflect positively on Stonehill College, the Alumni Association is proud to present you with its Graduate of the Last Decade award for 2021.
