Stonehill celebrated community and companionship at its annual Blessing of the Pets on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Held on the Alumni Hall lawn, the event brought together alumni, students, families, faculty and staff—alongside their beloved pets—for a special outdoor ceremony honoring the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.

Led by Alumni Chaplain Rev. Anthony Szakaly, C.S.C., with the assistance of Fr. Aaron Morris, C.S.C., the service included prayers, individual blessings and light refreshments. Whether furry, feathered, or represented in photo form, all pets were welcomed and blessed as cherished members of the extended Stonehill family.
