In the winter, students may only add or drop a course until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, December 16. For online courses, the first day is considered Monday, December 20, 2021. After the first day of classes, students may only withdraw based on the withdrawal and refund deadlines below.

Drop, Withdrawal and Refund Deadlines for Winter Session Courses

  • Classes start: December 20, 2021
  • Last day to withdraw: Friday, January 7, 2022

Withdraw between December 20 – December 26 (1st week) 80% refund
Withdraw between December 27 –  January 2 (2nd week) 40% refund
Withdraw between January 3 – January 7 (3rd week) 0% refund

How to Withdraw

To withdraw from a course, undergraduate students must complete and sign a Course Withdrawal Form. Course Withdrawal Forms are available from the Office of Academic Services & Advising.  Please email (academicservices@stonehill.edu) or call (508-565-1306) the Office for assistance with withdrawing.  Requests for course withdrawals made by email and phone calls when the College is closed between Friday, December 24, 2021 – Sunday, January 2, 2022, will be processed retroactively on Monday, January 3, when the College reopens.

Merely ceasing to attend classes or notifying the instructor does not constitute official withdrawal. Students who do not officially withdraw, are dismissed or simply stop attending will receive a failing grade for the course and forfeit all rights to a refund.
