92 percent of our students live on campus in a variety of residential settings. As a result, students quickly form a close community in an environment where, with the help and guidance of Residence Life staff, individual needs and desires are balanced with the common good. Stonehill encourages a healthy balance of work and play. We're an active campus with NCAA Division I teams and intramural sports. And by participating in everything from campus concerts and Boston excursions to our DiverCity talent show and Mr. Stonehill competition, students find plenty of ways to unwind.

Supportive Community

It’s not unusual to hear students referring to the Stonehill community as a family. Everyone who works, lives, studies and teaches here is committed to maintaining a supportive and engaging atmosphere where students feel valued and empowered to be themselves.

Residence Halls

In our living spaces, lifelong relationships are built among a diverse array of students. Right outside their doors, students discover a community that will open their eyes to different cultures and new ways of thinking.

Over their four years, Stonehill students have the opportunity to choose from traditional corridor-style residence halls, suites and townhouses. Recreation areas, lounges, kitchens, study rooms and free laundry complete an experience that helps each student feel right at home.

Special Interest Housing

Special interest housing enhances the connection between academic and residence life at Stonehill. By living with students who share similar interests, the opportunity arises to work toward shared goals. For example, we’ve had groups of students center their residential experience on the study of health and wellness, environmental sustainability, and community

The application process begins in the spring and is competitive. Students who participate in special interest housing are counted on to enhance the residential experience for the entire community.

Dining Around Campus

Stonehill Dining Services offers a dining program complete with signature brands and menu selections that include just about every item imaginable. Plus, if there is a home-cooked favorite that you are craving, our chefs are eager to receive your family recipe!

Students have access to the full-service Roche Dining Commons, as well as grab-and-go items and fresh made items at The Hill and Ace’s Place. In addition, there’s a local-favorite Dunkin’ within the Shields Science Center, an Au Bon Pain in May Hall and GiGi's Cafe in the Meehan School.

A full-time dietitian is also available to point students in the right direction. It is our goal to make sure you can find something great to eat when you want it!

Campus Safety

Safety and security are paramount to successful academic and professional pursuits, and the well-being of everyone who lives, works or visits Stonehill is our utmost priority.

Campus safety is a community effort and, in addition to providing safety services, the Stonehill College Campus Police host a number of personal safety events on campus every year.

We comply with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act by compiling statistics on the crime rate in and around our campus, and by routinely conducting evaluations of campus-wide emergency preparedness.
