Meet Program Director Lee McGinnis
Professor Lee McGinnis earned Class A Membership in the PGA of America in July of 1999 and has devoted a great deal of his research on growing the game of golf, having concentrated his dissertation to growing the game among women. He and his co-authors have published golf research in highly ranked academic journals such as the Journal of Sport Management, the Journal of Service Research, and Leisure Sciences. Along with his golf research, McGinnis has done extensive work on underdogs in sports, society and business. He and his collaborative team of national and international co-authors have published in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Advertising, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, and, most recently, in the Journal of Service Management.
While at Stonehill, McGinnis has taught Integrated Marketing Communications, Global Marketing, Sports Marketing and Marketing Principles.
Dear Prospective Graduate Student,
We appreciate your interest in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) program at Stonehill College. When we began conceptualizing this program several years ago, we wanted to establish a degree that met the rigors of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation—the gold standard for business schools. We also wanted to develop a program that encourages creative thought and design principles and practice, something current employers demand. We, therefore, created an interdisciplinary approach to IMC that is unique to the marketplace.
Courses in marketing and strategic planning, creativity, communications, and graphic design provide our working professionals opportunities to advance in their careers or even launch their businesses. Our students engage in deep discussions across classes, where learning occurs as much from other students as it does our highly trained and qualified instructors. Our students are diverse in backgrounds, age and experience, which livens class discussions in ways that I have never experienced.
With the addition of our new Meehan School of Business building, our students have some of the most modern, state-of-the-art facilities available, complete with high-tech classrooms and space to unwind and share with other graduate students. While most of our offerings are in the classroom, where strong bonds and relationships are nurtured, we also have an array of online offerings as well.
We invite you to explore more about what an advanced degree in IMC from Stonehill College can provide to you.
