Stonehill College's Strategic Plan 2016 – 2020 Initiatives
Recruiting and Enrolling the Next Generation – We will establish Stonehill as an accessible, first-choice destination for academically talented students of all backgrounds who are motivated by a heightened sense of curiosity, a love of learning, a desire for community, a respect for human dignity, and a commitment to social responsibility.
Re-imagining the Curriculum for the 21st Century – Building on Stonehill’s unique fusion of intellectual, practical, experiential, and community-based learning experiences, Stonehill will offer a curriculum that prepares students to meet the emerging challenges of the 21st century.
Inspiring Lives of Social Responsibility – Stonehill, as a Catholic and Holy Cross Institution, will strengthen and make more visible our commitment to justice, peace, social responsibility, environmental awareness and sustainability within the generative context of Catholic social teaching and create new opportunities that foster students in becoming agents of social change.
Cultivating a Culture of Collaboration, Innovation and Assessment – We will align resources, programs and people in a way that enables students to thrive and experience the transformation that is at the heart of this strategic plan.
Managing our Financial Resources – Stonehill will carefully manage and intentionally align new and existing resources with the strategic initiatives and goals outlined in this plan.
Measuring Our Success – The initiatives and tactics outlined in the plan highlight our priorities over the next five years. As we implement the plan, we will assess our efforts in order to ensure that we are progressing toward our objectives. Measuring progress in some areas of the plan will be somewhat new for Stonehill. In others, well-established measurements are readily available. Accordingly, presented there are selected key indicators by which we will measure success over the next five years, grouped into three student-focused areas: entering students, the student experience, and student outcomes. Key financial indicators are also presented.
