Stonehill students may participate in a number of study abroad programs worldwide. Below is a list of programs which have been approved by the College. The Office of International Programs (OIP) has carefully vetted these programs. Please note our study abroad partners are subject to change.
Australia
For students hoping to see a bit of the outback during their time in Australia, Murdoch University in Perth offers the perfect solution. The sprawling campus is home to 18,000 students. Study and live on-campus at Australia’s largest university campus, surrounded by native bush, yet with quick and easy access to city life and the beautiful west coast beaches. Perth is known for perfect weather, laidback locals and space to spread out and enjoy life.

The Griffith University Nathan campus offers students the opportunity to enjoy the vibrancy of Brisbane, while also benefitting from a wide choice of course offerings. The campus is a short commute from the city, with beautiful natural surrounds on the edge of Toohey Forest. Nathan is the original Griffith campus and is an excellent fit for students in environment, sustainability and bio-sciences. Brisbane is known for its subtropical climate, friendly locals and cosmopolitan vibe.

Study abroad in beautiful Viña del Mar, the tourism capital of Chile. Open to students at all Spanish levels, this program at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez offers Spanish language courses along with AACSB-accredited business classes and courses focused on Chilean culture and Latin American studies (offered in English and Spanish). Advanced level Spanish speakers can enroll in integrated courses with Chilean students in business administration, engineering, journalism and social sciences.

Costa Rica
San José is a vibrant urban center in the heart of a serene and beautiful nation. Three volcanoes surround the city, and quaint villages, farms and coffee plantations dot the hillsides. Cultural opportunities including theater, music, cinema and dance are also abundant in San José. Students can visit the Museo Nacional; the Museo de Oro Precolombino, with its sparkling collection of pre-Columbian gold; or the Museo de Jade, which boasts the world’s largest collection of jade.

Croatia

Czech Republic
With an overall student population of approximately 1,000 students from over 60 different countries, UNYP boasts a very international student body. The University of Roehampton was founded in 1975 when four local colleges joined together to form the university. The university has a beautiful 54-acre parkland campus, with historic buildings alongside modern, cutting edge facilities, including one of the best university libraries in London.

A University campus in the heart of Paris, students have access to many places to eat, relax, and participate in student activities for total immersion in the life of a historic French university. A pioneer in the field of French as a Foreign Language, the Institute of French Language and Culture (ILCF) offers certified, quality education by qualified and experienced teachers. In half a century, more than 130,000 students have been trained there. Each semester, a wide choice of courses allows you to better understand French culture in its various components.

Spend a semester or academic year in the sunny, artistic city of Cannes, France. Study a variety of academic program options at the Campus International de Cannes. Founded in 1931, the Collège International de Cannes is a private institution of higher learning that draws students from around the world. The CiC was founded on the principles of international harmony and tolerance, with the purpose of introducing foreign students to the French language and culture. The Collège has 22 classrooms, a theater, a recreation room, a volleyball court, a communal kitchen, a sun terrace and a magnificent courtyard where the beautiful view changes according to the season. It is situated on spacious grounds next to the Mediterranean Sea and is within walking distance of the Old Port and city center.

The American Business School Paris (ABSP) is located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, near the Canal Saint Martin, an eclectic and vibrant waterway lined with student-filled cafes. The ABSP offers a number of courses taught in English, including core business courses (such as marketing, finance, management, and accounting), luxury retail management, humanities, and electives. The vast majority of courses are taught within one main building, known as the Parodi campus, while a select number of courses may be taught at the Eaubonne campus outside of Paris.

Located in Athens, and originally founded in 1875 – The American College of Greece is the oldest private college in Greece. Established in 1962, CYA was the first study abroad program in Greece for English-speaking undergraduates. We offer academically outstanding semester, academic year, summer and winter study abroad programs that embrace the vibrant experience of day-to-day contact with the people, institutions, monuments, and landscapes of Greece and the Mediterranean. All our programs are delivered in English at the Athens-based International Center for Hellenic and Mediterranean Studies (DIKEMES), located next to the Kallimarmaro (Marble) Stadium and the National Gardens in the heart of the city.

Iceland

Ireland
Maynooth University traces its origins back to 1795. It is one of the top ranked universities in Ireland and was the first institution outside the United States to be ranked in the Princeton Review. Maynooth is Ireland’s only university town and has a population of about 12,500. Italy
Often called ‘the big university town in a small Italian city,’ Perugia is the home of ISI Perugia - The Umbra Institute, which offers a variety of courses for study abroad students. They are peppered with academic field study to famous Italian cities and sites, community engagement opportunities, internship courses (internship placement areas include the Fair Trade sector, Museums, and Education) and extracurricular activities to take you out of the classroom and into the real Italy. These opportunities range from assisting at a family farm to doll making for UNICEF.
Perugia’s hilltop location serves as the ideal backdrop for your study - Rich in art, architecture, and historical significance, it is internationally recognized as a city of learning.

LdM Florence is situated right at the heart of the birthplace of the Renaissance, where art, architecture, philosophy, and civic liberalism changed the Medieval world and still influence life today. LdM’s main campus has its head office on Via Faenza, a street dating back to 13th-century Florence. The main building was once a convent connected to the now deconsecrated church of San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini, which belonged to the Knights Templar.
In a city with such a rich historical importance, LdM Florence is primed to be the ideal choice for students interested in studying architecture, fine arts, fashion design, anthropology, and Italian language and culture.

Japan

The Netherlands
Maastricht University is the most international and fully bilingual (English & Dutch) university in the Netherlands, with the majority of academic programs taught entirely in English. UM has over 16,000 students and almost 2,000 academic staff. Around 49% of students and 39% of the teaching staff come from abroad. When studying in Maastricht, you encounter different languages and cultures every day, inside and outside the classroom. Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics (SBE) is particularly prestigious. Home to about 4200 students and 500 staff members, 40% of whom come from abroad, the SBE is a part of the 1% of business schools worldwide that is triple-crown accredited (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA).

Scotland
Edinburgh is lively and cosmopolitan. Considered to be one of Europe's most beautiful cities, you'll find attractive public parks intermingled with magnificent historic architecture and world-class cultural attractions. Scattered throughout the city are jutting craggy rocks on one of which sits the ancient Edinburgh castle. The rugged natural beauty and the more manicured city-center gardens combine with the urban sophistication of its clubs, pubs and restaurants to make Edinburgh a truly unforgettable city.
Edinburgh is known as the Festival City because of the abundance of events, which are hosted continuously throughout the year. There is the International Arts Festival, which showcases an eclectic and even bizarre variety of dance, music, art and theater. The Fringe Festival, which runs simultaneously to the Arts Festival, draws amateur theater productions from all of Europe. If that's not enough, you'll find other lively events including the Film Festival, TV Festival and Science Festival.
While you'll love discovering all of Edinburgh's historical and cultural treasures, you'll also appreciate that the city offers easy access to other destination points such as Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness, as well as the scenery of the nearby Scottish Highlands.

Spain
Granada is today a lively city of around 250.00 inhabitants, which is the center of a half-million people metropolitan area. Granada’s history attracts many tourists who join the locals in contemplating the many monuments that are scattered throughout the city center, intermingled with modern constructions of daring architecture. The Albayzin district was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1984, and its white and narrow streets paved with artistic cobblestone motifs allow the visitor unexpected views of The Alhambra and the city below. The glorious cultural past has emerged again with a full array of activities ranging from music, theater, lectures or exhibits, to name a few. The city has all sorts of modern infrastructures, and travel to and around the city is easy by air, train or bus.

Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO), founded in 1997, is one of Spain’s newest public universities.
UPO is situated on a beautiful 345-acre campus less than 5 miles from Sevilla’s city center. The Metro (subway) system in Sevilla makes it easy to reach the UPO – it takes most students only about 25 minutes to get to the university from their program housing. For those who are interested in biking to class, the university is also connected by a bike path to many parts of Sevilla.

The University of Salamanca is the oldest University in Spain and the 3rd oldest in the world. Their plaza mayor is considered one of Spain's most beautiful. With incredible and very affordable food, Salamanca is known as the "Golden City" due to the exquisite golden glow it exudes from its sandstone buildings.

Madrid, the capital of Spain, is a fascinating city that can go from ultra-modern in one neighborhood to medieval the next. Madrid is the country’s center of politics, fashion, art, cuisine, film, and all facets of contemporary Spanish culture.
Many of the most famous spots in Madrid are located in the city center, within walking distance of each other. From the grand Plaza Mayor, it takes only a few minutes to walk to the Puerta del Sol, and then just a few minutes more to the world-famous “Triangle of Art.”
If you’re a sports fan, watching a Real Madrid soccer match is a must! Or enjoy one of the city’s beautiful parks, where you’ll find madrileños jogging, reading, or sunbathing.
Your location in the center of the country will make it easy to visit other parts of Spain, as the Madrid airport and train stations will take you just about anywhere in the country.

Uruguay
Montevideo is the capital of Uruguay, the southern most capital in South America and the biggest city in the country. The city combines a lively and relaxed (tranquilo) lifestyle and is quickly becoming a travel destination due to its thriving cultural scene including rich architecture, sandy beaches, plazas, shops, museums, and restaurants. Known as one of the “coolest” and “most chilled-out” cities, Montevideo reflects the casual attitude that Uruguayans take toward life. It has a humid subtropical climate with cool winters and warm summers. Uruguay has unique places to discover such as Cabo Polonio beach town, Thermal Parks of Salto, Natural Reserve of Pan de Azúcar and Punta del Este beach resort city. Montevideo is connected by bus to all cities in Uruguay as well as Argentina, Brazil, and other countries in South America.

Vietnam
Study at the first international university in Vietnam while living in the country’s vibrant, multicultural heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
