Engage with Us in Spring 2021!
We are ready to work with you when you are! We recognize everyone comes in at different stages of career exploration and professional development. Let's connect, strategize ideas for an action plan, and discuss how we can best support you through this journey. We are adjusting our engagement practices to increase accessibility to our team and maintain health and safety measures.
Visiting the Office
The office is open 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Need us? Pop in and we will be glad to assist you by directing you to virtual appointments, programs, and resources. Thank you for consistently practicing physical distancing and wearing a face covering while you are in the Kruse Center.
The office is located in Cushing-Martin Hall, adjacent to the Chapel and the library. We are on the right side of the front lobby.
There may be occasions where we need to close the office for a short time. Please bear with us if the office is closed momentarily as our team is balancing family care, working remotely, working in-office, and teaching on campus.
We are available to work with you 1:1 to discuss anything such as internships, career exploration, networking and LinkedIn, graduate school, post grad service, etc. Starting spring 2021, we are also reintroducing resume and cover letter review appointments.
We will gladly connect with you over the phone or Zoom. Sign into Handshake to select your date, time, choice of phone or Zoom, and even which Advisor with whom you would like to meet. Be sure to leave us your phone number in the notes section if applicable. You will receive an email containing the appropriate Zoom link once your appointment request has been approved.
Drop-ins are facilitated via Zoom 1:00pm-3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Drop-ins are quick conversations (about 5-10 minutes). Need more time? Book an appointment and we will be happy to chat! Resume reviews should be done through Resume Labs or a resume review appointment.
March 11th: We will not offer drop-ins on Thursday, March 11th as our team will be working our annual Job and Internship Expo. Please join us at the Expo (link in Handshake!) and we will be glad to help you.
Resume Reviews: Appointments & Labs
Update to Spring 2021: To create better access for resume reviews, we are holding Resume Labs three days a week, and we are also reintroducing resume review appointments.
Resume review appointments may be booked via Handshake, same as any other appointment type. Simply select "Resume review" as the appointment type, then your preferred date and time. You may meet with any Career Advisor. Zoom is the preferred meeting method as it will allow us to share screens and relevant materials for a stronger review experience.
Resume Labs are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday via Zoom, and are led by a trained student Career Ambassador. They operate similar to virtual drop-ins, but specifically for resumes and cover letters. If you have a draft of a resume already, be prepared to remotely share your desktop so we can see it. If not, pop in and we will provide you materials and guidance to get started!
For the full listing of Resume Labs, please visit the Events tab in Handshake. You will find the dates, times, and appropriate Zoom links for the spring semester.
Events & Programs
We are lining up a spring full of alumni panels, workshops, networking events, and our annual Job and Internship Expo. Check the Events tab in Handshake for an ever-growing schedule, registration instructions, and appropriate links...and check back often!
Video Interview Room
NEW! Have a video interview coming up on Zoom or Skype? Need a dedicated quiet space, a great camera and large monitor? Book our new video interview room! We transformed a space in the Kruse Center specifically for your interviews with employers, grad schools, and service organizations. Call us at 508-565-1325 with any questions.
Submit a reservation request by clicking here: calendly.com/careerdevelopmentcenter
Our free interview attire borrowing closet remains open and accessible, but with a limited inventory this semester.
Our fitting room is closed as you will not be able to try anything on due to state regulations. Stop by 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, and a Career Advisor will assist you in identifying an outfit that should work for you.
Students will be allowed to sign out one outfit only, and may use it for the semester. Items must be returned before students go home for summer break. Clothing will not be recirculated until it has been professionally dry cleaned.
New and Current students: Please do not submit a request for a new profile. We build them for you automatically. Please call our front desk at 508-565-1325 with any questions.
Your profile is already uploaded into Handshake. You may access it at stonehill.joinhandshake.com. Select "Stonehill Users" and sign in using your standard Stonehill username and password.

Please fill out your profile completely and keep it public until after your profile is approved. Profiles marked "private" are not verifiable and we cannot grant you access. Once approved, you can choose to make your profile private.
