Dear Students,

Our staff and faculty are busy preparing for your return to campus. As you plan your arrival, I write to share a few helpful reminders about COVID-19 safety protocols and guidance for the fall semester.

Return to Campus

Save the dates for returning to campus this fall! On Saturday, August 20, residence areas will open for first year students. On Sunday, August 21 residence areas will open for our new transfers and Classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025. Classes begin on Tuesday, August 23. You can review the full academic calendar here.

Please take a rapid test 24 to 48 hours prior to returning to campus. Free tests are available through the U.S. Postal Service and can be easily ordered here. If your test is positive, please upload that information through the Health Services Portal and contact Health Services for further instructions regarding home isolation. There is no need to upload any information if your test is negative.

It is also highly recommended that you pack additional rapid tests for when you return to campus. As always, if you are feeling unwell at any point throughout the semester, please notify your professors and contact Health Services.

Testing

The College will not provide surveillance testing this semester. However, symptomatic testing will remain available through Health Services. If you test positive while on campus, isolation spaces are very limited. You will be encouraged to isolate at home if possible or within your residence hall if necessary.

Masking Policy

Masking remains optional on campus except when you visit Health Services, Athletic Training, and Counseling Services. If you are feeling ill, it is recommended you wear a mask to help mitigate the spread of colds, the flu, and COVID-19.

COVID-19 Vaccine

Employees and students are required to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations, which consists of receiving a primary series and one booster. All students should upload their vaccination documents to the Health Services Portal prior to arriving on campus if they have not done so already. More information is available here

Questions

This information as well as answers to frequently asked questions can be found on our website. If you have additional questions, please contact Health Services at 508-565-1307.

Our COVID-19 team continues to monitor and follow medical guidance and recommendations related to the impact of COVID-19. Any protocol changes will be communicated in a timely manner.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 74th academic year at Stonehill College soon. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer break.
