Feb. 3: Important COVID-19 Update

President (Rev.) John Denning, C.S.C. shares an update on the College's COVID-19 test results and ongoing discussions around public health and safety.

Dear Members of the Stonehill Community,

While our positivity rate continues to remain comparably low, I am concerned with the increased number of positive tests, which are reflected in the latest dashboard.

I am in discussions with senior leadership, as well as the College’s medical consultant, to determine the steps we need to take to mitigate any additional spread of the virus and help us continue the semester, in-person, in a safe and productive manner. Based on these conversations, I will communicate our decision by midday tomorrow.

I also want to take this opportunity to once again urge all of you to please follow the College’s COVID protocols and encourage others to do the same. Acting responsibly and looking out for one another’s health and well-being represents a sound prescription for all of our protection.
