TRANSCENDING EVIL: After tragedy struck on 9/11 with the loss of her husband and classmate, James, Trustee Liz Hayden ’76 decided to transcend evil by offering light and hope to others and she did so by supporting the work of the Congregation of Holy Cross in Canto Grande, a large but marginalized suburb of Lima, Peru. For faithfully serving the Congregation’s mission of making God known, loved and served in such a setting, she was recently presented with the Spirit of Holy Cross award. Take a look.
