Students sit in the new comfortable seating area of the Flynn DisCo, taking advantage of the space to collaborate.
Reference Librarians are available to provide instruction to students; we request that Faculty contact us at least 48 hours in advance to discuss the type of session they would like and their preferences for the use of teaching technology. Faculty may also reserve the space and teach technology-enhanced sessions in the DisCo. If you are interested in teaching in the space, please sign up for a brief, 20 minute classroom training session with a Reference Librarian, prior to booking the room. To book a training, visit our calendar or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sample Class Sessions
If you are interested in learning more about the types of technology-enhanced sessions Librarians can provide in the Flynn DisCo, click here. Librarians have created a number of sample “scripts” for interactive classes that use the DisCo’s technology. We also encourage faculty to meet with their Subject Liaisons to discuss the many ways this space can be used in their classes.
