Gould Scholars Program

The Gould Family Internship Fund

Established by Stonehill parents, Kathy and Kevin Gould, who are passionate about students gaining meaningful work experience and making professional connections in their field of study.

Some students are not able to take on an internship because they must contribute to their educational expenses. Internships provide integral experience where students can build their professional network while learning more about themselves and their potential careers.

The Gould Scholars Program

We are asking our fellow Stonehill parents, alumni and friends of the College to join us in supporting this program. Together, we can reduce the financial barriers that stand between students and the opportunities they deserve.
-Kathy & Kevin Gould, P'15

The Goulds established the Gould Scholars Program to strengthen their commitment to Stonehill students and the work of The Career Development Center. Through an application process, students with financial need may receive a stipend of up to $2,000 while pursuing an unpaid summer internship. Over the past three years, they have seen firsthand the benefits of this direct student support as noted by one of the recipients:

"Taking an unpaid internship was not an easy decision to make, mostly because I have to meet most of my financial needs over the summer, but I decided not to let this factor affect my decision of taking advantage of such a great opportunity...I will be able to pay for my summer class thanks to you and be able to buy my books for next semester and pay for my everyday expenses as an intern and a volunteer at
Boston Children's Hospital."
