With over ten years of experience in public relations, communications, marketing, social media, and nonprofit development, Jill Goddard’s career has centered on mission-first organizations including Covenant House International, Oxfam America, and the Unitarian Universalist Association.

Most recently, she was the Director of Public Relations and Communications at Boston Ballet where she served the organization as a member of the senior leadership team for over four years. At Boston Ballet, she ideated, advocated, and stewarded a shift to their first-ever virtual season in response to the closure of in-person performances. Prior to that, she launched the ChoreograpHER Initiative, a multi-year, multi-pronged effort to build the pipeline of female choreographers which are underrepresented in ballet. In addition, Jill worked on strategic partnerships and activation events with corporations, including Tesla, Dunkin’, and Primark, as well as with cultural organizations, including the ICA, MFA, BSO, and Boston Calling Music Festival.

Jill holds a M.A. in Global Marketing Communications and Advertising from Emerson College and a B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (where she worked as the Public Relations Assistant in the Office of News and Media Relations on campus). She received her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2017. She previously served on the board of the Boston chapter of the Public Relations Society of America as their co-chair of programming.
