Peter Tedeschi - US Congress
Martin Institute Auditorium
Peter Tedeschi is running for Congress to represent the 9th Congressional District, where he can put his values and many years of leadership and business experience to use in the service of others. His family’s roots run deep in the 9th Congressional District. Peter’s grandparents, Angelo and Catherine, immigrated from Italy to Massachusetts shortly after 1900. In 1923, Angelo opened his first store out of his home in Rockland, leading to the birth of successful supermarket and convenience store chains: Tedeschi’s Supermarkets, Angelo’s Supermarkets, and Tedeschi Food Shops. While serving as a Vice-Chairman and Treasurer of the National Association of Convenience Stores, Peter advocated for the convenience and retail industry on Capitol Hill. Peter also served as the Chief Strategic Officer for the Midwest Retail Group, LLC. Closer to home, Peter advocated for local businesses while serving on the Executive Board of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, where he was selected as the Chamber’s Business Success Leader in 2012. After graduating from Stonehill College in 1982, Peter opened one of the first computer retail, repair, and training stores in New England. During the 10 years he owned and operated Computer Concepts, Peter learned valuable lessons that would serve him throughout his career. Much of Peter’s motivation for running for Congress is born out of a desire to give back to an area that has been so supportive of him and his family for generations. Lunch will be served; please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
