Anthony Amore for Secretary of State

Anthony Amore has dedicated more than a quarter-century of his life to public service. He currently works in the nonprofit sector as the Director of Security and Chief Investigator at the storied Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Anthony is also serving his second term as a Town Meeting member and previously served on the Swampscott Historical Commission. After serving as an officer with the U.S. Immigration Service and as a Special Agent with the Federal Aviation Administration’s Security Division, he was appointed as Assistant Federal Security Director with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration. Anthony’s background in, and understanding of, public safety issues is extensive. His mission included rebuilding security at Logan Airport after the attacks of 9/11. Anthony has been nominated twice for a Service to America Medal and is the recipient of numerous awards from the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, and Transportation. He is a believer in government accountability. As it is the overarching theme of his vision for the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and it will drive his agenda once in office.
