Blessing of the Pets
St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals and the environment. Christians everywhere celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi by having their pets blessed in the spirit of this saint.
Alumni Chaplain Anthony Szakaly, C.S.C. invites Stonehill alumni to bring their pets to campus on Sunday, October 2 for a special prayer service and blessing. Light refreshments will be available.
All animals must be under the control of their owners at all times (i.e. leashed, crated, carried, caged, harnessed, etc.) and are the responsibility of the owner. Please be courteous and bring only well behaved and sociable pets. Attendees are also invited to bring photos of their pets if the pets are unable to attend for any reason.
Please RSVP here by Wednesday, September 28 and include the number of people attending as well as the number and type of pets that you will be bringing. The prayer service will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Registration and check in will begin at 1:30 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Office of Advancement.
