Born and raised in upstate New York, I early on found myself fascinated by the ancient Mediterranean world, majoring in classics at NYU and specializing in the religions of the Greco-Roman World, particularly the first century of the Christian movement.

My interests involve the development of Pauline Christianity and the role that archaeology can play in redescribing the spread of Christianity into Greece and the rest of the Roman world. But I am also interested in the panoply of emerging types of spirituality in the Christian West today and what Christianity might come to look like in the 21st century and beyond.
