REV. SANDRA DORSAINVIL, Associate Executive Minister for Mission & Stewardship for The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts since October 2013, has had extensive experience in multiple ministry roles, in secular organizations since 1984 and formally in the church for the last thirteen years. She was most recently the senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sharon, Massachusetts. Rev. Sandra earned a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College School of Theology, a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University where she also obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She has an advanced graduate certificate in Multiculturalism from George Washington University, and a certificate of completion from The Nehemiah Leadership Network. She is a Board member for the Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries, an interfaith organization that promotes just peace efforts in the Greater Boston area. She has recently published a devotional booklet entitled Walk with Generosity, ushering the reader to reflect and journal on proposed scriptures for forty days.

Rev. Sandra was reared in several African Christian and Muslim countries and Italy; experiences which have helped to shape her passion for incarnating the Good News of Jesus Christ in social justice, interfaith dialog and multiculturalism. Her passion for putting the Gospel into action has prompted her to plan, organize and lead numerous mission trips on local, national and international levels; from The Murrow Home in Oklahoma to the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans, Saco (Maine), Villa El Salvador in Peru, Deborah’s House in Tijuana and Haiti. She stands on Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than a double edged sword.” Rev. Sandra has been a Massachusetts resident for the past 36 years.
