Outstanding women leaders from North Carolina, New York, Brockton, Boston and from the Stonehill Student Body will gather at Stonehill College, April 29, 2016 to reflect on their work as they share insights, extend their wisdom, and underscore important lessons from social justice and movement building work in marginalized urban and rural American cities / communities and on Stonehill Campus.

The South Shore Regional Community Excellence Awards celebrates and acknowledges outstanding work performed by individuals and organizations, as identified and determined by community leaders. Recognizing that there are many people working every day to strengthen community in their own way, this event provides an opportunity for the community to collectively thank those who demonstrate exceptional work, inspires hope and promotes excellence.

6th Annual South Shore Regional Leadership and Empowerment Conference

8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

Under the leadership of Community Connections of Brockton, in partnership with United Way of Greater Plymouth County, Stonehill College and the Parent Magazine Leadership Team of Brockton, this one-day conference provides opportunities for community members to both co-design the conference and various workshops that are offered. Workshops will be offered in the following categories: family and relationship development, emotional wellness, education & empowerment, and community organizing & activism.
