Whether it’s with NASA, the Boston Celtics, the White House or Paramount Pictures, Stonehill’s strong focus on real-world experiences has helped many students score highly competitive internships. It also has helped them secure internships with local companies, hospitals, public schools and cultural organizations – places where our students have been able to gain valuable experience and contacts in their chosen field.
For physics major Ashley Horan ’15, an internship at NASA paved the way for a coveted spot in Brown University’s Planetary Geosciences Program.
In many cases, students are offered full-time jobs in the organizations where they did their internships.
“Career Services is super,” says Jeff Santos ’15, who interned at Destination XL Group and was hired full-time by the national men’s apparel retailer – before even graduating. “They are always thinking about what’s best for each student, finding the right internship, making connections, checking your resume and doing mock interviews when the time comes.”
