Laptop Requirement - Business Administration Program

All students entering Stonehill's Business Program will be required to obtain a college-specified laptop computer.

This Stonehill College Business laptop requirement will allow students to fully engage with the academic and professional curriculum through the application of appropriate technologies inside and outside of the classroom.

Beginning with the first formal Business course, computer technologies are integrated into class, individual and team activities.

For the 2011-2012 academic year, the value of this program includes the following services:

  • Custom configured to fully integrate with Stonehill College technology services
  • 4 Year Onsite Next Business Day Warranty Accidental Damage Protection
  • 4 Year CampusHP Student Care Software Support
    • CampusHP Student Care is an exclusive on-campus service and support program
    • Designed to help keep the computer running smoothly throughout the school year as well as offering a wealth of additional services
    • Preventative maintenance services including hard drive defragmentation & cleanup, and updates
    • Virus cleaning and definition updates (The removal of spyware such as Malware, Adware and other problems)
    • Data backup services for the laptop - a complete backup on CD of important data
    • Restore operating system back to the state it was received if anything happens to the hard drive
    • Loaner laptops when a laptop needs to be in the service center for more than 48 hours
    • Level 1 Helpdesk Services - 800 number telephone support
    • Remote access services to allow computer software problem resolution over the phone
