Before coming to Stonehill, Professor Klentz taught in the Psychology Department at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She began teaching at Stonehill in the fall of 1985.

Professor Klentz’s past research interests have included examining methods of increasing bystander response in emergencies, examining assumptions made about others based on their attitude similarity/dissimilarity, the application of self-awareness theory to reduce “negative” behaviors, and examining the impact of working with a free rider depending on the reason for free riding.

Currently, she is engaged in research on jury decision making and group metacognition or the exent group members can accurately assess the group's competence.
