Professor Millikan has served as Vice-Chair of the Mansfield, M.A. School Committee, a policy analyst for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Massachusetts Department of Environmental Affairs.

Since 2004 he has served as the President of the Stonehill Faculty Senate. He was honored in 2005 for longtime service to the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars and led a seminar for Stonehill students at the 2004 Democratic National Convention Boston.
